We had so many great submissions for the Dream Issue so we didn’t manage to get everything in the Magazine so here are a collection of amazing pieces we received…
Dream a dream
Vivid freedom granted through sleep
Images gleam at reality’s seam
Through time, space, dimension am I able to leap
Consciousness rippling as a running stream
Wading through shallows and in to the deep
Technicolor surrealism in high beam
I’m so far away, there’s no need to count sheep
Dark shadows, night terrors make me scream,
Hairs raised on the neck as I hear the beasts creep
I dream of the water, life as a sea bream
As I swim from the fear, no longer a heap
In dreams, I can do what I deem extreme,
Clamber up Everest though the climb may be steep
Be held in high esteem, reign supreme, be redeemed.
Let nightmares turn to dust as good dreams make the keep.
Some say dreams are savoury
And some say dreams are sweet.
Some say dreams are prophecies
And not something to eat.
Some say dreams are visionary
Some say they are fine.
I think dreams are ships that sink
And swallow all your time.
Insanely, this image describes my rather bizarre dream from last night. I usually tend to forget my
dreams by morning, a habit that hasn’t left me. However, today I woke up with a rather confused
and dazed look on my face as my roommate pointed it out. At first I thought the alcohol was playing
its role however, I could remember snippets of my dream from that night. The blurriness and
confusion in the picture depicts my dream perfectly. I had clicked this image two years back in New
Delhi, India during summer break. I dreamt of the exact same location I was at and of everything I
did that night which I remembered strangely. However, my dream was blurry and hazy the same
effect the image offers us. A rather unusual experience for me as firstly, I don’t remember any
dreams I have and secondly, this was the same place I met my best friend for the first time.
